Happy New Year... 2007
Brian Reidy, CBA President

Welcome to 2007, I think this will be a new and exciting year for the CBA. Last fall the CBA offered to host this years 4th of July parade. This would be a new venture for the CBA, Some of the board members were thinking is it was time for a new challenge, and this surely fits that description. Well the town has appointed the CBA to organize this year’s parade. This is a large challenge that accompanies a great opportunity to showcase the CBA, our members and the spirit of Chelmsford. Lynn Marcella and Jeff Hardy have agreed to Co- chairs the parade committee. The board has agreed to back the committee with needed time and skills. We are formally asking for the support of every CBA member. In some way please find the time and energy to support the parade.

All of our members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. We are by description the second largest 4th of July parade in the state. Parade attendance estimates exceed 60,000 people; most of these people are local to Chelmsford and surrounding towns. (Providing an excellent demographic to advertise to). We are going to fund our commitment to the parade through advertising and raffle sales. The parade needs about 75 volunteers on the 4th to help with the logistics of the parade. Your help is truly needed. We will be posting a wish list in the next news letter, please help us make this a great parade and give some thought about how your organization can contribute this tear.

As election season nears The CBA will again be hosting a candidates night, this year should be really interesting as we will have 2 open seats for selectman. Please plan on attending Candidates night Thursday March 1st. 2007 at 7:30 Held at the Radisson Hotel and Suites Chelmsford.

Please plan on attending this informative event and show your support for Chelmsford. R.S.V.P. by Monday January 15th to (978) 250-3858

The CBA starts 2007 in great shape; let’s continue to build on through the year.

Thanks for your Time

Brian P. Reidy
