I need to mention how cooperative Chelmsford's Pro, John Resnick is and I, for one, enjoyed the meal that the Chelmsford Country Club catered. It sure was a pleasant treat.

Bill Gilet and the Golf Committee

As we approach the Fall season we need to look back and count our blessings. For example, our Golf Tournament had the best weather we could have ever hoped for. The sun was shining, the wind was down and there was no sight of rain. I think Bill Gilet has a direct connection to the Almighty.
Contrast that to the misery that was suffered in Louisiana and Mississippi because of hurricane "Katrina". For reasons that we will never understand, that area was ravaged. Most, who lived there, have lost everything. The uninsured property loss is in excess of $100,000,000,000 (One Hundred Billion) and there will be no way to recoup. So while we ponder our annual fight to prevent classification, let's keep everything in perspective. We are indeed fortunate to be living here and not there.
Accordingly... if you haven't done so already, please read John Harrington's letter, dated September 14, 2005 and consider making a generous donation to "Town of Chelmsford-Katrina Disaster" fund and send it to the Town Clerks Office. And, if you have any friends or relatives who were directly affected, now is the time to step up to the plate to help them. In comparison to this disaster, our problems seem very small. Indeed!
